Hot!

It's hot! The grass and garden are both dying! On the other hand, the pool is getting nice and warm.

I spent this last week in Vegas and Sacramento. This was my 9th trip since I started back to work in December! Nothing else is currently scheduled so maybe I'll get to stay home for awhile now.

The kids and Ang are enjoying their summer vacation so far. It seems they have something going on almost everyday...so much for relaxing! Katelyn and Nicholas are going to a VBS this week and Emma's been invited to a friends house for a sleep over tonight and tomorrow. We haven't given the ok yet...depends on her attitude the rest of the day. :)

Boyfriend...WHAT!

Emma's testing the strength of my heart! She has a ....gulp...a boyfriend! Yep, you heard it. The phone has been ringing a lot lately with him calling the house. I'm not sure I'm ready for the teenage years.

Vacation?

This was supposed to be a week of vacation for me to stay home and enjoy some family time, but I had to go to DC Sunday night for training on Monday, I worked almost all day yesterday, and have to go in for a few hours today. Hopefully I'll be off Thur and Fri. Need to be home and enjoy our new pool! We put up a 18' x 52" soft-sided (but metal framed) pool last weekend. The kids have been in it every day so far!

School's Out!

The kids are done with school and are officially on summer vacation! Angie has to go in tomorrow for a teacher's day, but then I think she's done too.

Emma spent 2 nights at one of her friends house and came home this morning at a "hand-off" at church. It looks like she had a great time in the pool...a little sunburned on her shoulders. She was home for a few hours and then went off to another friends house for a sleepover tonight! I didn't see her all week since I was in Idaho/Utah and then only got to see her for about 30 minutes today! When did she get so old?

Katelyn had a friend sleepover on Friday, but unfortunately her friend was a bit upset and missed her Mom once bedtime rolled around. So her Mom came and got her. Katelyn was pretty upset/sad.

Nicholas & I stopped off at a car show on Saturday. He liked this one and any of them that were orange!
