Some Pics

Animal Kingdom Parade Time

DinoLand
12 hours in the park today...GREAT time had by all.  Emma rode her 1st roller coaster and loved it.  We all did the river rapids and were SOAKED!  It was a very good day

Day 1 at WDW

We made it to our hotel at Disney yesterday late afternoon.  Checked in, did a little exploring around the resort campus, went swimming, went out to dinner to a pizza place we remembered from last time, got some groceries for the week, and then came back to the hotel.

Up early this morning to catch a 7am bus for Animal Kingdom.  Early hours start at 8am today.  Off we go!

Sat Night

We're in Jacksonville, Fl tonight.  We spent the night at Dad & Mary's last night; had breakfast with them this morning and then left mid-morning.  We had a nice relaxing drive down to Jacksonville except for a couple pretty major thunderstorms on the way.  Sheets of rain!  We plan on a leisurely morning of breakfast, hotel pool time, and then maybe a walk down by the river front (our hotel is just a couple blocks away).  Then we'll drive to Disney to check in.

More to follow...

And So It Begins

Friday morning, 0600.  The time has finally come for....VACATION!  Hopefully the family can get packed and loaded on the road by about noon today.  Then off to Dad & Mary's to spend the night there.  Nicholas is really excited but he can't quite figure out how we can stop at Grandpa & Grandma's if we're going to Disney.  :)

I'll try to get some posts on here every couple of days with some pictures to go with.  Pray for safe travels, good weather, and a great time!

Pool Fun

The kids had the neighbors over for some fun in the pool Saturday afternoon.  They had a great time
After this we went to Ft. Monroe for the gymnastics end of year pool party.  We got in about an hour, then the storms rolled in with lightning and we forced to leave early.  We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home to make up for it!

Gymnastics

Saturday was the end of year gymnastics show for Katelyn & Nicholas, plus a lunch party for Katelyn and then a pool party.  Here's a few pictures of Nicholas...

My Challenge

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.  (Ephesians 6:4)

Saturday Morning

The 1st week of no school is gone.  Angie and the kids all had dentist's appointments...NO cavities...well, except for Ang!  It's a tiny, tiny one but amazing anyway...she hasn't had a cavity in ages!

Went to Lowe's this morning and bought a bunch of portage stone pavers to lay down at the bottom of the deck stairs to the pool.  We put some down last year to see what it looked like, but I never got it finished.  I tend to have that problem...finishing projects.  So anyway, having some coffee and donuts (stopped at Dunkins on the way home) and then out to try and finish it.

We had some rain last night too (badly needed), so I need to get the yard mowed as soon as it dries out some.  I think a dip in the pool will be on the schedule for later today.

Got the Grand Am running again this week (needed a new alternator along with tires and a few ticky tack things).  It might be the last $ I put in the car...not sure.  It was kind weird driving it again after driving the truck all the time.  Sit so low!

Thought of the Day

School's Out

Angie and the kids are officially on summer vacation...lucky!  The kids last day was Friday and Angie's last day was Monday.  The pool is open and the kids have been in it a few times...supposed to be in the 90s the rest of the week so that should help the water stay warm.

Medley

1st - Pause the music in the blog's music player

2nd - Try to get past my absolute terrible video job

Bottomline:  This is a 4th & 5th grade skit from Spring Fling last week...a powerful message both visually and audibly.
Can you say wow!  I thought this was tremendous, and wasn't Emma great!

"Medley"
You said all that follow You may find
Comfort and pain, blessings in hard times
Were I to leave, where else would I go?
The words of life and of truth You hold
All I want is love
I confess to this
I will take it, Lord
ALl you have to give
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of Earth
Will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace
And You give yourself away .....

Camping Trip

Nick & I got a camping trip in last weekend.  We went to Chickahominy Riverfront park over by Williamsburg.  The weather was nice and co...
