Fun Weekend

We had a great weekend, although it went by too fast. We drove to Dad & Mary's Friday afternoon. Had some awesome steak...although they cooked about a half a cow for us! Looked at some old childhood pictures. I definitely had some "awkward" stages in my life! Saturday we went to Duke to walk thru the chapel, but it was closed all day because of some weddings. At least the kids got to see the outside, it's pretty impressive.

We came home Saturday evening and had dessert (dairy queen) 1st and then supper (KFC) last. Spoiled kids! Sunday we spent the morning volunteering at church, then Ang & Katelyn did some school supply shopping, while Nicholas & I rearranged his room. He's pretty happy and said it's "awesome"! Nicholas, Katelyn, & I took a quick swim in the pool later in the day. It was on the chilly side! We went to church that night and then had our family meeting before bed. We started a couple weeks ago with family meeting time to let everyone have time to say their peace, discuss how the week went, give allowances, and prepare for the next week. We even put in a little bible study time this week. It was awesome listening & discussing the bible with my kids!

Now back to the weekly grind!
