Snow in VA

We got some snow yesterday right at the evening rush hour.  I think people thought it was a snowmagedeon!  It took me 2 1/2 hours to drive home! Most of that was just getting off the Air Force base...it was nuts!  We only got between 1-2 inches and the roads weren't that bad; definitely slick in some places but driveable.

It should stick around for at least a day or so before it warms back up.  It's supposed to be 60 again in a few days!



Where's Katelyn you ask?  Angie took her and her best friend (Jenny) to a hotel last night for a "girls night" to finish celebrating Katelyn's birthday.  Here's how they enjoyed this morning

    No snow here though it has been plenty cold enough to do so. Surprisingly this winter has been very dry. We got more rain than normal in October/November and the sky resorts opened early but since then there has been very little additional moisture except at the highest of elevations. It is interesting how weather is changing and may be the new normal.
    Gramps sure loves the Kenney Krewe!!
